Three Checks for the 3.6L Valve Claim

Your vehicle must pass all three. Most Wrangler owners miss on engine or state.

Engine: the 3.6L Pentastar V6. A 2.0L turbo, 392 V8, or 4xe hybrid is out, even from a covered year.
Model and year: a 2015 to 2020 Wrangler or Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Gladiator, Cherokee, Compass, and Renegade are not listed, though several Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler models are.
State: originally bought or registered in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington. Where you live today does not matter.

Those states follow California’s emissions rules, and that is the whole case. Plaintiffs alleged Fiat Chrysler (FCA US, now part of Stellantis) should have treated the valve rocker arm, valve stem oil seal, and valve tappet as “high-priced” emission parts covered for 7 years or 70,000 miles, not the standard 3 years.

What the Claim Form Needs Before October 12

You file only for money already spent. The extended warranty to 7 years or 70,000 miles from the in-service date is automatic, so future valve failures go straight to an authorized dealer.

The official Regueiro claim site asks for the class member ID on your notice plus a paid invoice, receipt, or credit card statement showing the VIN, owner, part replaced, and repair shop. Independent shop work counts if documented. Online claims are due by 11:59 p.m. Pacific on October 12, 2026; mailed claims must be postmarked that day.

The Jeep Death Wobble Class Action: Settled in 2023

Reynolds v. FCA US LLC, in the Eastern District of Michigan, ended with a court-approved deal in June 2023. It created no cash fund. It gave repair coverage and repayment for one part, the front suspension steering damper.

Who: owners and lessees of 2018 to 2020 Wranglers and 2020 Gladiators.
Coverage: a failed damper is replaced for 8 years or 90,000 miles from first sale. A 2020 Gladiator first sold in 2020 stays covered into 2028 if under 90,000 miles.
Repayment: past damper costs go through fcarecallreimbursement.com. When we checked it in September 2026, it forwarded to FCA’s general reimbursement form, which asks for your VIN.
Fees: six named plaintiffs got $4,000 each; class counsel’s fee was set at $3,950,000.

Sources disagree on the repayment cutoff: one tracker lists March 31, 2026, another says there is none. Many 2018 and 2019 Wranglers were already repaid through a 2019 customer satisfaction program.

4xe Battery Fire Suits Are Paused for Arbitration

No 4xe money exists yet. On July 31, 2026, Judge Brandy R. McMillion stayed Frisch v. FCA US LLC in Michigan federal court, sending 15 plaintiffs to arbitration and keeping 8 in court. It covers 2020 to 2024 Wrangler 4xe and 2022 to 2024 Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrids. FCA pointed to arbitration clauses in warranty booklets and sales contracts that carried a 30-day opt-out window.

A second case, Humphreys v. FCA US LLC, was filed in Utah on February 16, 2026. It says the Samsung-built packs suffer separator damage that can start fires while parked, and that fixes from 2023 and 2024 failed, leading to a third recall in November 2025. There is nothing to join; notices go out only if a class is certified or a deal is reached.
